Our Response

The Mobile Market Community Council (MMCC) is committed to long-term Dotte Mobile Grocer operations to provide access to fresh, affordable food items in Kansas City, Kansas.

However, the MMCC recognizes that there is an urgent need in our community right now to help our neighbors get access to the food they need.

That is why we are coordinating with two different Kansas City nonprofits — Young Women on the Move and Kanbe’s Markets — to increase the availability of fresh food in Wyandotte County.

The Dotte Mobile Grocer will continue to support efforts to provide USDA Food Boxes for free to residents at designated community locations.

We intend to launch the normal operations for the Dotte Mobile Grocer later this year. In the meantime, we are happy to serve our neighbors.
